Discipline Chief Engineer

Establishes and controls the standards of engineering for the nuclear group. Develops and controls department budgets for development and training. Identifies and implements required training for continual professional development of the nuclear engineering personnel. Directs the establishment of guidelines and standards to assure uniformity of work and maintenance of the firm’s standards. Develops departmental manpower through recruitment, selection, work assignments, and training of personnel. Interfaces with the Energy Division regarding resource planning and project staffing. Appraises performance of departmental personnel and develops programs for strengthening capabilities. Provides administrative functions for the department including salary review, vacation scheduling, counseling, and termination, etc. The preferred candidate will possess: Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. Experience: Minimum 15 years experience performing engineering related duties. Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role. Prior interactive experience with INPO and/or NRC. Broad commercial nuclear experience with various reactor types, new reactor development, nuclear fuel storage, and radioactive wasted is required. Senior Reactor Operator License or certification is desirable. Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
