Job Summary:

 

The position reports directly to the CFO and will be responsible to manage the day to day operations of the Corporate MIS department as well as lead special projects.  The candidate will be in charge of developing project plans and applicable budgets for future capital improvements around the IT infrastructure.  This will include a review of current systems, including both hardware and software.  The candidate will make recommendations on IT procurement and or development to upper management to improve the company’s IT efficiency.  The position will be responsible to communicate with the parent company as well as assist US affiliates with their IT needs.

 

Job Duties and Responsibility

 Replace current ERP system (AS400 base system) to consolidate several ERP systems, which have been used for recently acquired companies.  The candidate is expected to lead this project as project leader and work with companies to meet their business requirements.

 Evaluate each company’s network platform including E-mail system, WAN, Web Groupware system and consolidate infrastructure without interfering the independence of each company’s business structure.

 IS director is expected to guide IS staff for technical challenge and execute project to meet Marketing requirement for B2C and B2B.  The candidate should understand new web technology to   guide IS staff.

 Technical liaison with all levels of users including executives and department heads.

  Recruit, train and supervise staff in database, system administration, programming, help desk.

 Review staff’s performance, motivate employee for higher target.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Ø  College graduate or advanced degree.

Ø  More than 3 years experience work as MIS Director or Manager.

Ø  More than 5 years experience with ERP systems.  It is preferred if system platform is AS/400.

Ø  Have full knowledge of manufacturing business applications, (MPS, MRP, WO, SOM, PO, Shop Floor, Costing).

Ø  Have full knowledge of financial business applications, (AP, AR, GL, Financial statements).

Ø  Have experience implementing Groupware systems such as Lotus Notes/Domino or Intranet, MS Exchange server.  Lotus Notes is preferred.

Ø  Have knowledge with network technology to make a decision on choosing equipment and systems.  Basic knowledge of hardware (PBX, Router, and Firewall) and TCP/IP is essential.

Ø  Have good communication skills, oral and written.

Ø  Experience working with an international company is preferred.

Ø  Basic programming language skills, (RPG or Java is preferred).

Ø  Understanding of system development methodologies and control (Waterfall model, Agile software development, system development cycle).

Ø  Have experience leading the B2C and B2B web development.  (WebSphere and JAVA environment is preferred).
