Chevron North America Exploration and Production is accepting online applications for the position of Development Geologist – Wyoming Asset Development located in Houston, Texas.Overview:Headquartered in Houston, Texas, CNAEP provides crucial energy resources to North America. With more than 5,000 employees, we are exploring for and producing energy from the frozen Arctic to the depths of the Gulf of Mexico.The Development Geologist – Wyoming Asset Development will be a part of MidContinent/Alaska (MCA) Business Unit. The MCA Business Unit manages Chevron's onshore oil and gas production assets in the central lower 48 states in the contiguous U.S., extending from Wyoming to south Texas, as well as its onshore and offshore assets in the Cook Inlet and North Slope regions of Alaska.Qualifications:Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: Map prospective horizons. Work with engineering to develop a reservoir depletion plan. Generate new development well locations and follow drills through execution. Perform formation evaluations and planning for and manage reservoir surveillance programs or new well, sidetrack and workover planning.Required Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics or related discipline. Familiarity with development geology work processes and have the ability to integrate seismic, well, and production data to evaluate reservoirs. Reservoir Management skills such as reservoir mapping, modeling and characterization. Ability to work with in a cross-functional team to perform detailed subsurface assessments, reservoir management plans, and development proposals. Working knowledge of interpretation, modeling and other software depending on assignment.
