Data Management Specialist
The primary purpose of this position is to provide data management support for Marine Corps weapon systems and equipment to the Marine Corps Logistics Command Program Support Center.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Data analysis in support of DoD Interchangeability and Sustainability (I&S) families, and assemble the data into different formats to meet different requirements.
Prepare submittals to the Defense Logistics Agency and other services to support the Marine Corps Major Organizational Entity (MOE) Rule registration.
Process and input transactions to establish and maintain a Marine Corps Stock Number.
Process requests from customers relative to the proper identification of a variety of management data. Effort includes research, coordination, updating, correcting and follow-up on technical and logistics data requirements in direct support of Marine Corps weapon systems and equipment.
Load management data and National Stock Numbers for input into the Federal Logistics System and internal files for items in I&S families.
Review data for discrepancies, research to determine the cause and take correction actions to resolve discrepancies.
Prepare reports, attend meetings and prepare briefing materials.
Provides guidance and assistance to others.
Other:
The employee must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
The employee may be required to work overtime.
The employee may be required to travel.
Configuration Status Accounting Data Technician
The primary purpose of this position is to provide Configuration and Data Technician support for Marine Corps weapon systems and equipment to the Marine Corps Logistics Command Program Support Center.
Support will include but is not limited to the following:
Input configuration status accounting data into the Configuration Management Information System (CMIS) automated information system.
Code and prepare engineering drawings for input into the Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System (JEDMICS).
Perform data validation by comparing CMIS data files to the source documents stored in JEDMICS and perform corrective actions.
Manage configuration status accounting of small, non-complex Marine Corps managed equipment.
Monitor the processing of documents in the Multi-User Engineering Change Proposal Automated Review System (MEARS).
Provide guidance and assistance to others.
