Data Analyst - Systems Safety
Associate's degree in a related field.Minimum five years experience in the collection and integration of data from multiple sources, data analysis and manipulation, and creating complex custom reports using Microsoft Excel. Must possess advanced Excel user knowledge and demonstrate exceptional knowledge and experience with Excel's PivotTable function. Requires familiarity with DOD systems engineering processes. Experience with MIL-STD-882 system safety engineering is a plus, but not required.Requires good communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs (Microsoft Office) is required.Must be a U.S. Citizen. Position will require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. H1B Sponsorship is not available. Job Description : EG&G Technical Services, Inc., is seeking a Data Analyst to provide technical expertise and support to the Safety Data Analysis Program. You will review and analyze US Navy mishap data to identify trends and suggest areas for improved safety; assist in developing system safety program documentation such as System Safety Program Plans, Preliminary Hazards Analysis, System Hazards Analysis, Sub-system Hazards Analysis and Operating and Support Hazards Analysis; review Computer Program Change Requests (CPCRs), Software Trouble Reports (STRs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and the like, for safety impact.You will also establish and/or maintain databases as needed for hazard tracking status, support and/or conduct test activities, design reviews, and safety assessments of hardware/software trouble reports. Prepare and deliver MIL-STD-882 safety analyses, comprehensive technical data packages and supporting presentations for review by senior level safety review boards. Interact with customers and Project Leads to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks. Position may require limited travel. "hjlsi06" : : EOE M/F/D/V
