DESIGNER/DRAFTER

DESIGNER/DRAFTER Position Profile

Design and layout using Computer Aided Design (CAD) drafting

Select materials and make drawing changes 

Size Air intake, Exhaust, and other sub-systems used on engines to meet requirements.

Create bill of materials for release to BMS system

Calculate and gather information to perform calculations

Communicate with vendors and customers to verify correct design calculations and customer specifications.Experience

Associates degree/equivalent and 2-3 years related experience/training in a related field

Proficient use of Auto Cad 2006, or Mechanical Desk Top, 3-D training or experience Solid Works or Pro-E

Electrical experience is desirable

Read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

Interpret a variety instructions furnished in a variety of forms

Obtain accurate information from the customers/vendors through excellent communication skills

Strong organization and time management skills

Acute attention to detail

Quality/Improvement

Demonstrates commitment to and creative thinking for continuous improvement

Commitment to task and results oriented.
