Responsibilities:

·  Maintain, update and provide information security administration for all government and commercial programs that require same.

·  Ensure that the Company safeguards all government classified or special nuclear related documents, drawings, etc., in approved manner.

·  Review, audit, evaluate, inspect, accept, amend and reject Individual Information Security Project Plans.  Work with Project security personnel to bring rejected Individual Security Project Plans Information into compliance.

·  Establish corporate information security procedures in conformance with established corporate, regulatory and client requirements.  Provide advice, counsel and training for staff members, contractors and consultants as needed on Government information security policies, procedures and regulations.

·  Submit required paperwork on employees requiring a personnel security clearances using DOD Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) system.

·  Coordinate with other contractors and DOE on supplying paperwork and, reports for DOE projects.

·  Maintain Corporate FOCI Statement and maintain regular contact with regional Defense Security Service Agents.

·  Administer security indoctrinations, debriefings, visitor control for information security purposes, personnel processing for projects requiring compliance with government security regulations.

·  Provide long term planning and leadership to establish an updated government information security policy to assist the Company in obtaining and maintaining DOD and DOE contracts. 

·  Provide assistance and over siteoversight of Information Systems Security Plans in accordance with NISPOM regulations. Coordinate with IS staff to ensure  that computer/communication systems meet mandated government security requirements.

·  Provide annual information information security training briefings to all Burns and Roe information security project personnel to ensure they understand and follow all established information security regulations, procedures and reduce or with the goal of eliminate eliminating the risk of information security violations.

·  Travel to all government project security sites to do periodic inspections, audits, and training as needed.

·  Assist Proposals Department with information security related information and ideas to assist winning contracts that require security regulations be met.

·  Report any security breaches and other reportable information security events to Corporation Senior Corporate Management and relevant government agencies as necessary.

·  Keep abreast of the state-of-the-art developments in government and corporate methods, processes and tools including software.

·  Function as a Cost Center Manager and, as such, prepare and submit the annual cost center budget and monitor and control performance to budget. 

·  Uphold all corporate policies and programs in accordance with defined Standards of Conduct.  Complies with all applicable State and Federal laws regarding equal employment opportunity.  Ensures all employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, veteran status, handicap or disability, where qualified individuals are able to perform the essential functions of the jobs with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements for this position include:

·  High School Graduate, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

·  Security Clearance – Must have a current Secret and/or Q Clearance (with a current Background investigation (not to have been done more than five (5) years prior to hire).

·  Familiar with Corporate environment.

·  Five to ten years progressively responsible experience in government security and/or  government contractor security.

·  Knowledge and experience should include National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), DOD/DOE security regulations and regulations for handling of Special Nuclear Materials.

 

Additional Qualifications:

·  US Citizenship is required for this position, applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. 

·  Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain highly effective working relationships and skill in managing and exercising leadership of security related programs. 

·  Excellent skills in oral and written communications as well as a minimum of average computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 

·  Comprehensive knowledge of DOE Orders, Guides, Manuals. 

·  Demonstrated skill and expertise in presenting ideas, conclusions and recommendations in a concise and coherent manner both  orally and in writing.  Ability to handle multiple manual and computer tasks in a fast paced environment.
