Controls Project Engineer

The Controls Project Engineer will be responsible for the following:Reading and understanding technical project requirementsContributing to project specifications prepared by clientSpecification and procurement of project materialsSpecification and design of project drawings (not drafting)Assembly, configuration, and testing of client systemsParticipation in witnessed testing with other client employees and with client’s customersAssisting with system shipmentParticipation in system installation, installation supervision, start up, commissioning, and site acceptance testingPreparation of project documentation to support the activities listed above
Required Skills/Knowledge
· 2-5 years of applying DCS’ or PLCs to industrial control applications
· Basic electrical and electronic principles required for electrical and controls engineering
· Discrete and analog wiring methods
· I/O hardware layout and panel design
· Working knowledge concerning the available types of and the application of control system instrumentation
· Working knowledge of motor control centers, switch gear, starter circuits, and variable speed/frequency drives
· Degree in Engineering preferred, but not required

Salary: $40—65k
