Construction Project Manager

(WESTON®), a leading infrastructure redevelopment services firm, has an exceptional opportunity in our Vernon Hills office for a Construction Project Manager.The position is responsible for day-to-day project management including: supporting the preparation of proposals; planning, coordinating, integrating, monitoring, appraising and closing project activities; ensuring the maintenance of technical communications and business files; reporting variances from plan; appraising impact of variances;recommending corrective actions; administering project changes;maintaining client liaison; preparing declarations of revenue and participating in professional activities for the purpose of career development and WESTON qualifications and experience enhancement;WESTON seeks a Project Manager to manage fuel system renovation/construction projects. The preferred candidate should possess the following:BS degree in Engineering plus five (5) to ten (10) years of Fuels System/Construction Project Management experience. Experience demonstrating progressive increase in financial/supervisory accountability and authority. Registration/certification if required by law or standards for practice of profession.Experience working as a Construction Project Manager when performing work as a General Contractor or Construction Manager.Managed at least 3 profitable $500K+ fuel system repair/construction projects.Experience managing at least 2 projects under Department of Defense contracts.Ability to tightly control and manage project schedules, budgets, scopes of work, contract changes, internal staff resources and subcontractors.In depth understanding of, and ability to work with various government contract types, including Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Firm Fixed Price, and Time & Materials.Experience and understanding of construction site QA/QC.Petroleum tank and piping construction and repair experience.API 653 and API 570 Certification and NACE Level 1 Coatings Inspector Certification or higher are preferred.EOE, M/F/D/V.
