Computer Based Training Developer
EG&G, a division of URS Corporation, a FORTUNE 500 Company, has an excellent career opportunity to support the activities at the U.S. Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). Must have a BS degree in computer science, instructional technologies education or related field plus a minimum of 6 years related experience. Must have experience with the following software programs: Adobe CS3 Web Premium which includes Adobe Flash Professional CS3, Adobe Dreamweaver CS3, and Adobe Photoshop extended CS3; Authorware; SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004. Position requires U. S. Citizenship. Knowledge of Oracle and PL/SQL scripts a plus. Job Description : This position will be responsible to develop, modify and implement computer based training modules which run on a web based commercial platform and a proprietary system based upon Oracle for our client. This position must be able to understand customer, contract and site-specific training requirements and be able to work with the customer to develop training objectives, offerings and schedules. Research and recommend alternative methods and metrics to develop, deliver and track the effectiveness of training to take advantage of technological advances and emerging platforms and programs to include pre- and post-testing. Use a variety of software programs to develop survey instruments, special reports, course documentation, training publications, multimedia presentations and reference materials to meet customer and contract requirements.
