Components Engineer
Responsibilities
Provide Lead Components Engineering support.
Provide technical support to Project teams (internal and external) to ensure selection of appropriate parts and technologies commensurate with mission goals.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
a) Parts Control Boards
b) Failure Review Boards
c) project reviews, peer reviews and parts list reviews
d) parts research and recommendations
e) alternate source identification
f) development of test plans
g) obsolete technology management
h) procurement management
i) GIDEP reporting, and
j) project data management.
Assist in the review and assessment Failure Analysis and Destructive Physical Analysis results.
Perform vendor surveys, and participate in vendor audits.
Some travel may be required (
