Communications and Signal Processing Engineer

The Advanced Signal Processing Group of Alliant Techsystems (ATK), located in Monterey, CA, is currently looking for a Communications and Signal Processing Engineer to support leading-edge research and development in the area of digital communications and digital signal processing, applying fundamental communications theory to a range of advance problems. Requirements for this position include: - Minimum of five years experience in communication theory and digital signal processing, including modulation, detection, estimation, coding, stochastic processes, and linear algebra. - Experience implementing communications and signal processing algorithms in MATLAB/C/C++ - Close interaction with software development team requiring good written and verbal communication skills - Education: M.Sc.E.E or M.Sc.Math, Ph.D. preferred - US citizenship Additional preferences for this position are: - Representation of ideas in the forms of white papers and technical reports - Real-time implementations in C/C++ on Linux platforms, DSPs, and FPGAs.
