Coatings Process EngineerDenton Vacuum, the leader in equipment fabrication, located in Moorestown, New Jersey, has an excellent opportunity to join our team as a Coatings Process Engineer.Function:Develop the quality specifications and operating parameters for all products. To design and develop new products and improve present processes. Assist the Maintenance and Production departments with troubleshooting problems, scheduling preventative maintenance, and installation of new equipment or upgrading of existing equipment.Job Responsibilities: In depth knowledge of sputtering, and etching techniques used in industry. Develop and recommend proposals for improved engineering methods, procedures and equipment directed at reducing costs while maintaining quality standards. Perform in house and remote acceptance testing on equipment to demonstrate that  system manufactured meets customer specifications. Write manuals for equipment manufactured. Train customers on using the system they have purchased. Willingness to travel a must.Qualifications: Degree in engineering as well as two years of thin film/vacuum coating experience in a manufacturing environment. In lieu of a degree, at least two years of related education complimented by five years of thin film/vacuum coating experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge in the operation of Sputter Vacuum Deposition equipment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. All communications must be in English. The ability to operate computer equipment for word processing, trend analysis, and product testing is also required. Highly organized and able to judge several projects at once. The position requires an individual who is able to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment.
