Client Relationship Manager

CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGER, Sloan School of Management, to be responsible for formulating and strengthening relationships with MIT Sloan Executive Education clients, identifying and cultivating potential custom clients, and increasing the number of well-qualified open program enrollments sent by organizations. Will recommend executive education program concepts; solicit and respond to requests for proposals; respond to business inquiries; build awareness of MIT Sloan Executive Education with appropriate organizations; work with the executive director to identify key businesses as primary prospect targets; conduct appropriate new business development activities; make personal contact via telephone calls and visits to target companies; maintain current information on leads, contacts, and proposals; stay aware of industry trends and competitors' offerings; and work with marketing and program directors and faculty to suggest updates to current programs in order to be responsive to market needs.

REQUIREMENTS: a minimum of five years' consultative sales or consulting experience in a major education or business organization, including experience working with senior executives; ability to explain relevant MIT faculty content and related executive programs to prospective participants and company sponsors; ability to explain the needs of prospective clients to faculty to ensure match with faculty expertise; excellent prioritization, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills, including proposal writing and presentation skills; ability to interact successfully with diverse constituencies and work collaboratively with colleagues; and knowledge of and experience with a variety of sales and marketing techniques and tools.
