Civil Operations Manager with Highway Experience needed
We have an immediate opening for an Operations Manager to work in Western Baltimore County, MD. This is more of an administrative role and it’s a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career. Salary is commensurate with experience and there is an excellent benefits package.
Responsibilities Include:
• Responsible for day-to-day operations.
• Develops and maintains an organizational structure that fosters efficient and effective utilization of the firm’s talents.
• Provides a basis for future growth and development, and ensures performance of high quality engineering services in a timely, efficient and profitable manner.
• Directs, administers and coordinates engineering work during construction and assist in corporate planning, manpower coordination and management in business development activities.
• Guides, directs, and supervises the staff in the administration, planning and execution of the projects assigned.
• Monitors scope of work and budgets on projects and responds to any changes.
• Assures the projects are completed on time, on budget, and technically accurate, and conform to the firm’s standards.
• Support and implement the firm’s policy, practices, philosophies and strategic plan, and recommend changes on policy goals and direction.
Requirements Include the Following:
• A minimum 10 years experience in direct department/project oversight of day-to-day operations and project management/design required.
• Prior branch/office management experience is desired.
• Experience with highway, transportation, and/or bridge projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Must have project management experience.
• Proficient User of MS-Office.
• Registered PE in Maryland and/or Pennsylvania is desired.
