Civil Engineer 1

TranSystems' San Diego, California, office is looking for a Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Architectural Engineering graduate (bachelors degree) or a UC Berkeley Civil Engineering graduate (Masters) to work on structural engineering projects. Duties for this position will include structural engineering design, CAD work and plan preparation for a variety of projects, including commercial, highway, and coastal development projects. Other work might include site development, storm water management and utilities design projects. Day to day assignments and technical guidance will be provided by current staff Project Managers. The preferred candidate will have knowledge of Microstation and AutoCAD, and some intern experience with putting together sets of engineering design drawings. Ideally such a person will also have experience with structural design software. This position does not require PE registration, but TranSystems will encourage the motivated individual to become licensed at the earliest opportunity. A strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting is highly desired.1 - 4 years,A/E/P experience,Bachelor DegreeAdditional Information: Travel Percentage: 10%
