Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).

 

EDI is looking for a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to join our team.  The position will report directly to the Industrial Hygiene Department Manager.  General responsibilities include, technical direction and oversight of industrial hygiene technical field investigations and sampling; assisting the Department Manager with assuring overall quality of technical work and deliverables within the Department; providing project-specific project management and technical oversight.  Applicants must have excellent writing, communication, time-management, project management skills (includes experience in budget management), and project and client management skills.

 

Applicants must be American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) Certified Industrial Hygienist.  OSHA 40-hour, with annual refresher, Hazardous Waste Operator training is required.  Successful candidates must be computer proficient, have exceptional verbal communication and written communication skills and be proficient in preparing detailed technical reports.

 

Specific Employment Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

 Review of Industrial Hygiene related technical deliverables;Review of technical work scopes;Management of client expectations;Development and management of project budgets and scopes of work;Providing technical assistance on industrial hygiene practices, procedures and issues to other staff;Assisting marketing staff in the pursuit of, and submittal on large work opportunities;Perform on-site complex, technical industrial hygiene surveys and sampling;Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive Health and Safety Plans (HASP) for project-specific needs and scope;Other professional industrial hygiene services as needed or requested based on client and project-specific tasks.
