Certified Industrial Hygienist
AEI Consultants is a well-established, environmental consulting firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with offices and work locations nationwide. We currently looking to fill a full time position in the Industrial; Hygiene department at our Walnut Creek office. We are seeking a professional, hard-working, enthusiastic addition to a collaborative office environment.
AEI Consultants is searching for a qualified, self-motivated individual that has the desire and ambition to further his/her career in the environmental industry. This position will lead the Industrial Hygiene department. Responsibilities include department and project management, project implementation and professional consulting. The ideal candidate will have the ability and motivation to build the Industrial Hygiene department.
Examples of job responsibilities include:
* Design and oversee sampling investigations, including asbestos surveys and monitoring programs, lead investigations and mold investigations.
* Perform inspections, oversight and sample collections as needed.
* Provide data interpretation, professional consultations and report preparation in a timely manner.
* Lead & assist with business development efforts.
* Respond in a professional and timely manner to RFI’s, RFP’s, proposal requests and inquiries.
* Prepare cost estimates and contracts.
* Oversee Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC), health and safety programs and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
· B.S. degree in a science discipline
· CAC certification is required
· Excellent oral and written communication
· 5 years experience in asbestos, lead and/or mold services.
· Valid driver’s license
· 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
· CIH Mandatory
