CMM Programmer/Quality Assurance Inspector
CMM Programmer/Quality Assurance InspectorDescription: One of Volt's respected customers is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer/Quality Assurance Inspector. This person will be responsible for the following:- Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspection of high precision tooling components.- Inspect and verify the product to ensure that quality, production, and customer standards are met.- Review the production requirements provided in the job file in order to track and relay deviations to specifications.- Compare each product requirements provided in he job file in order to track and relay deviations to specifications.- Report inspection findings to a data collection system or as directed so revisions can be made.- Assist with physical inventories to insure on-hand inventory is accurate and quantities are sufficient for production needs.- Perform general housekeeping duties to provide a safe working environment at all times.- Additional duties as assigned. ***Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.***Requirements: Qualified candidates posses the following:- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree is a plus.- Ability to work with precision measuring equipment including CMM's, contour tracing, surface profilometers and analog gages.- Prior CNC programming experience and an extensive background in CMM technologies preferred.- Must be able to verify part dimensions using blue prints or mast parts.- Candidate must have skills or knowledge in the following areas: technical/shop math, blue print reading/GD&T, inspection tools/equipment, CMM setup/layout/programming (Measure Max Plus and PCDMIS), gauge calibration/calibration system, quality systems/auditing, supplier quality/receiving inspection system, process analysis/improvement (Pareto chart, trend chart, flow chart), problem solving/corrective action reporting- Experience operating inspection equipment.- Experience in mechanical inspection of precision components.- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rule, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.- Able to use micrometers, calipers, indicators, microscope, plug and thread gages.- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.- Must be able to work 2nd shiftVolt is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and we maintain a drug-free workplace.Location: Brooklyn Center, MN Type: CONTRACT Duration: Direct Pay Rate: DOE Contact: Volt Technical Resources (St. Paul)Volt Workforce Solutions1270 Northland Dr., Ste. 100Mendota Heights, MN 55120PH: 651/468-3988FX: 651/468-3989 Connecting talented people and respected companies.
