We currently have an exceptional opportunity for a CAD Manager in our New York Office. As a CAD Manager your major activities will be: drafting redlines, providing design assistance and managing CAD coordination on projects specific to CAD skills and capabilities. Assist designers and engineers in calculations by creating floor-plans, one-line diagrams and panel schedule drawings in AutoCAD from redlined drawings. Create schematics and equipment schedules. Perform duties with little or no supervision REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:Prior experience with an engineering firm - a huge plus Proficiency in AutoCAD –MEP 2008 (a huge plus)Proficiency in converting architectural backgrounds Proficiency in the latest National CAD standards Ability to read floor plans, sections and elevations Ability to draw sections with no direction Experience in electronic file transfer Available to work overtime to meet project deadlines.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSFamiliarity with one of the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing trades RELEVANT EXPERIENCE 5+ years’ relevant experience with current version of AutoCAD; work experience in the Mechanical, Plumbing or Electrical fieldsCAD Proficiency: Completion of advanced computer and CAD courses beyond trade school or equivalent formal training    See Job Description
