Business System Analyst

Primary Job Responsibilities:Analyzes business processes and designs computerized applications, in both development and maintenance phases, to facilitate those processes.Assists the customer in the formulation and definition of an application's scope, functionality, and objectives.Assesses 3rd party products to determine their suitability for organization's needs.Acts as consultant to the customer on process re-engineering, and new policies/procedures with IT impact.Reviews requests from customer for appropriateness and alignment with system efforts.Guides planning for new systems and tools that align with the customer's strategic objectives.Applies extensive technical expertise; contributes to development of new techniques and standards. Develops solutions that require creativity and ingenuity. Performs work on systems with global scope under general direction; has considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Guides completion of major projects; manages vendor relationships. Represents organization as prime contact on projects; interacts with senior external personnel.Training and Experience:Requires 7-10 years business systems analysis experience, BA/BS in Information Systems or Computer Science, or a combination of technical training and experience.Must have experience with Oracle projects and Financials, Releae 11 or 11i, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Project Accounting modules. Experience with or knowledge of technologies such as PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, AIX operating systems. Functional and some Technical experience in Oracle applications support team, including defect identification, repair, retest and release cycles. Experience with vendor software patch application and release. experience with full implementation of Oracle projects and financials.
