Aviation Mechanical Designer

Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Job Category: Engineering Aviation Mechanical Designer  Job Description: An aviation consulting company on the northside of San Antonio is in search of mechanical drafters. The pay ranges from $45,000 to $60,000 based on experience. Please see below for a job description.**JOB DESCRIPTION**-Aviation drafting/design is required.-Be able to read and comprehend engineering drawings.-Be capable of researching specification information as needed for drawing support.-Have a working knowledge of how to create engineering drawings.-Create quality drawings in a timely manner.-Have a minimum 960 hrs (6 months) AutoCAD on-the-job drawing time.-Willing to learn new drawing techniques and computer aided drawing programs.-Routing drawings through the release cycle.**PREFERENCES**-BA or BS in Engineering-Experience using Solidworks for mechanical design or aviation design.-Have some mechanical aptitude.-Be somewhat familiar with FAA Part 25.-Be familiar with Solidworks program.-Sheetmetal and stress engineering concepts a plus.
