Automotive Mechanic Senior Technician

Must have a Class A CDL. Must have five (5) years experience working on various types of equipment. Have working knowledge of daily shop operation requirements, service schedule, supply operations, maintenance scheduling and Time and Attendance. Clarity of written and oral expression desired. Understanding and use of maintenance manuals related to wheel equipment. Must be able to pass a security check. Job Description : Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) of all equipment. Analyzes malfunctions and repairs, rebuilds and maintains equipment. Operates and inspects machines or equipment, using hoists and hand tools. Examines parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges. Replaces defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions, axles, gear systems and hydraulics. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure proper operating condition. Tests overhauled equipment to insure operating efficiency. Welds broken parts and structural members. Directs Mechanics and Workers engaged in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment.
