Exciting opportunity for a Audit Manager to oversee the auditing of accounting and financial data for all Burns and Roe companies.  Inspects and audits the operations and financial statements of each organization and reports any evidence of fraud.

Responsibilities:

·  Developing detailed audit programs and performing operational and financial audits in multiple locations including Oradell, NJ, Virginia Beach, VA and Guantanamo Bay Cuba.

·  Evaluation of accounting systems and internal control environment with an emphasis on risk mitigation.

·  Assessing compliance with established policies and procedures.

·  Determining that assets are properly accounted for and safeguarded from risk of loss.

·  Audit reviews and will also consider the adequacy and effectiveness of established policies and procedures and the overall performance of the area being audited.

·  Prepares and discusses audit findings with appropriate members of management, recommends changes to corporate policies and procedures, as necessary, summarizes audit and prepares final report.

Experience: 

·  Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in an audit environment, or additional experience in lieu of degree.  Public accounting experience and familiarity with government accounting is a plus.

·  Good analytical skills.

·  Proficient in Word and Excel.

·  Demonstrate an ability and self-confidence to work independently with minimal supervision and possess strong oral and written communication skills.

·  Must be able to interact with various levels of management.

·  Familiarity with GAAP, GAAS, and IIA professional standards.

Education: 

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required.  CPA is a plus.
