Asia Regional Engineer
Asia Regional Civil/Environmental Engineer – Ecology and Environment, Inc. is an integrated environmental consulting firm whose underlying philosophy is its worldwide commitment to supporting sustainable development through responsible environmental stewardship and is ranked in the top 50 of ENR’s “Top Environmental Firms.”
We are seeking a motivated Engineer to provide key support for our international work in Asia. Current projects in Asia include Design Review for wastewater and solid waste management, industrial waste management, and associated operator and management training; water quality improvement for a major watershed (30 million inhabitants), and similar projects with international lending institutes. While this position could be based out of any of our U.S. offices, it reports to corporate senior management and requires significant time in Asia.
Responsibilities: Project managementDevelop and maintain relationships with clientsInteract with our International Business Development Manager and Director of EngineeringPrepare proposals and conduct client presentationsProvide technical direction and QA to project managers and technical staffPlanning, staffing, scheduling, and budgeting of Asia-based work
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental EngineeringProfessional Engineer certification or equivalent10 years environmental project management experience International experience Experience in dealing with clients and managing project teams Excellent English written and oral communication skillsChinese language skills are a plus
