Kleinfelder?s Northwest Region has an opening for the Area Manager position in our Beaverton, OR office. Since 1992 our Beaverton operation has had a history of providing exceptional service to a balance of public and private sector clients. Our dynamic staff of 40 offers a range of professional services including environmental and geotechnical engineering, water resources, and construction materials testing/inspection. We are looking for a leader with proven capability to lead a diverse group of individuals toward a common set of goals. The successful candidate will have a strong working understanding of our business including people, strategy, operations and finance; and knowledge, familiarity, and understanding of the economic-regulatory-business drivers, competition, business development, and recruiting landscape in the northwest marketplaceResponsibilities include client selection, business development, managing project delivery, quality, and loss prevention programs. There are staff development and mentoring, responsibilities as well as for strategic recruitment. In addition, the area manager works closely with the regional manager to support and execute the strategic plan for the region. Qualifications 8-10 years of proven success managing in a civil engineering/geosciences firm. Prefer candidates with experience in geotechnical or environmental field; Requires strong leadership skills and enthusiasm for helping others reach their potential.Qualifications9 - 10 years of proven experience managing in a civil engineering firm with an emphasis in geotechnical or environmental field; Additional experience may be necessary depending on education and registration. Requires strong leadership, marketing, communication and technical writing skills and a demonstrated ability to hire, develop and retain the right people. Professional registration preferred. Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
