Applications Engineer, Mechanical

Excellent direct hire opportunity in the Biddeford area for an applications engineer in the mechanical realm. Work with tissue machines is desired. The applications engineer will: · Establish technical specifications and scope of supply for small projects, components and major rebuilds.· Determine technical feasibility. · Develop pricing for proposals.· Document technical specifications and design requirements, through the use of standard specification forms, meeting notes, calculations, and drawings, and presents this information in a form that can readily be used by Sales and Design Engineering.· Provide sales support in the form of reports, drawings or verbal presentations.· Develop, maintains, and assists in upgrading the technical standards and resources available for Application Engineering.· Attend conferences, meetings and/or conventions for the company, making verbal presentations when required.· Travel, as required, with little or no advance notice (15-20%).
