Application Engineer- Bio-Pharmaceuticals
Crown Solutions, a division of Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies North America (VWS), is currently seeking an Applications Engineer to work from a Mid West location.
This position will be heavily involved in the Bio-pharmaceutical market. The selected candidate will be responsible for producing designs, costs and detailed proposals in response to tender and direct client contact requests within the requested timescales. This role is viewed as pro-active in support of a dedicated sales force. The position serves as liaison between all company departments from project inquiry through execution.
Duties for this position will include (but not limited to):
Inside sales and product supportSpecification and detailed drawing reviewClient liaison in the development of proposals including attending client meetings, interpret and carry out client’s communications effectivelySupport for the sales team with technical and practical knowledgeProject costing for approval within company guidelinesBid preparation and trackingParticipation in Biopharm water treatment system design
Other requirements include:
Previous sales or marketing experience or exposure in the Biopharm sector including a clear understanding of regulatory and validation requirementsThe ability to travel approximately 15% for presentations to potential clients, meetings with customers and support of the sales forceInnovative thinkingStrong communication skills, particularly writtenA high degree of organizational activity To maintain membership in applicable Biopharm organizations and attend conferences to keep up to date with/influence new developments in this area
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working in the Bio-pharmaceutical industry, and will possess strong knowledge of the overall market. They will also have experience in a water and where possible wastewater-related setting and understand the basic concepts of water and/or wastewater treatment. Experience with Hot Water Sanitization pre-treatment design preferable.
A Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline and a minimum of 5 years related experience is required for this position.
