They are growing and have been expanding their operations since 2006. They have started TWO (2) new exciting programs and are looking for talented Engineers. The contract duration is long and the city of Savannah is wonderful. There are FIVE openings for this job to be filled. Job Summary: The Airframe Stress Analyst: Performs and checks stress analysis, and approves drawings for structural integrity in a timely manner. Analysis methods include: Classical Hand Analysis Finite Element MethodDuties and Responsibilities: The Airframe Stress Analyst: Documents stress analysis in a yellow sheet report system for each drawing. As required, documents analysis should be compiled in formal reports for FAA certification. Reviews and approves vendor drawings, stress reports, and test reports. Plans and supports structural tests as required. Solves typical Structural Engineering problems associated with the research, design, development and manufacture of the product. Plans, develops, coordinates and directs a large Engineering project or a number of small projects with many complex features. Provides guidance to less experienced Stress Engineers on structural matters. Coordinates with vendors, liaison, Design, Fatigue and Damage Tolerance, and other groups as required. Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve the quality, economy, and effectiveness of the Company product. Requirements: Required Skills for this Airframe Stress Analyst positions include the following: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (i.e. Aero, Civil, or Mechanical); emphasis on Structures a plus Minimum five (5) years of Primary Structure Airframe Stress Analysis experience, or ten (10) years Engineering experience Experience in Airframe Stress Design Support, FDT, Composites, MRB, FAR/JAR Part 25 Certification, CATIA, NASTRAN, and PATRAN are desired Strong written and verbal communication skills Solid organizational and planning skills Unique Skills: Ideal candidate(s) will have all of the above qualifications as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be comfortable working in a very fast-paced and demanding environment.
