Aircraft Ground Equipment Specialist (AGE)

HS Diploma and Associate Degree or equivalent experience.Minimum Qualifications: At least 4 years experience in AGE maintenance, or small equipment maintenance in military setting. High school diploma with strong mechanical/electrical background. Must be able to obtain a flight line drivers license and DOD security clearance.Must demonstrate the ability to qualify for an Interim SECRET clearance before starting work. Must be a US Citizen. Job Description : Support an Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) shop in a medium to large-sized military aircraft flying organization. Insure the timely and proper performance of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AGE equipment and light support vehicles. Inspect, test, and operate AGE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. Diagnose mechanical and electrical circuitry malfunctions. Be able to interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical data. Must be able to identify appropriate replacement parts in TOs and technical documents and order those parts. Remove, disassemble, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, assemble, and re-install AGE accessories and components. Stencil and mark AGE as appropriate. Service equipment with fuel, oil, coolant, water, hydraulic fluid and air as required. Operate, clean, inspect, and service AGE tow vehicles. Maintain and document AGE equipment and tow vehicle forms. Position equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations. Schedule PMIs as required. Adhere to safety procedures, and follow technical orders as applicable. This position is located at Holloman AFB in Alamogordo, NM. : : EOE M/F/D/V
