In this position, you will be the one who establishes the company's financial status; manages junior staff; achieves operational objectives; develops and maintains our cost accounting systems; prepares budget and invoices; confirms financial status; monitors revenue and expenses; maintains accounting controls; guides other departments; complies with legal requirements. We prefer a candidate that is already a proven Accounting Manager, but we are open to considering experienced Specialists who show the potential for growth with mentoring into a managerial role. Previous experience in the following areas is strongly preferred: --Deltek (GCS Premier or Costpoint) and Paychex. --Accounts Receivable --Accounts Payable --General Ledger --Balance Sheets --Income Sheets
Qualifications
Experience handling issues of compliance for state and federal regulations.
Expert at designing, implementing, and refining systems to manage complex processes and to optimize performance.
Coordinates communications, meetings, and activities while handling dependencies among several remote groups or organizations.
Maintains painstaking attention to detail, completing multiple or repetitive tasks. Demonstrates a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines.
Synthesizes all forms of research into clear, thoughtful, actionable deliverables
Proficient at establishing sound budget goals and objectives.
Working knowledge of applicable FASB accounting rules for this industry.
Proficient at analyzing causes of variances between actual and budgeted income and expenses, and recommending actions to perform in accordance with the budget.
Motivates others to achieve beyond expectations. Provides strong leadership to overcome challenges.
Effective managing in a changing environment. Skills include leadership, planning, developing policies, delegation, and tracking performance against measurable goals.
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance and 5 years work experience or 10 years experience in lieu of degree.
