APPLICATION ENGINEER

Simucad Design Automation, a pre-IPO, wholly owned subsidiary of Silvaco Data Systems, is a worldwide leading supplier ofsimulation and CAD/EDA software used for designing analog, mixed-signal and RF integrated circuits.

 

Simucad is seeking Application Engineers to provide demonstrations; execute customer benchmarks; visit customers; install Simucad and Silvaco software; communicate with developers, sales personnel, customers and other Application Engineers. 

 

All candidates must have:

· Strong communication skills to explain complex problems/solutions in a simple manner.

· Windows,Linux, or Solaris experience.

· Fullchip design cycle experience preferred.

 

Requirements for a successful candidate in the positions available include:

 

TCAD Applications Engineer:

·Experience with IC process and device simulators, such as PISCES and SUPREME.

· Minimum MS 3+ or PhD in EE or physics.

 

IC Design Applications Engineer:

· Design experience with schematic capture tools and spice simulation of analog, RF, andmixed signal circuits.

· Experience with Cadence Analog Artist/Virtuoso a plus

· BSEE3+ or MSEE 2+  years experience

 

IC Layout Applications Engineer:

· Experience with Layout, DRC/LVS and parasitic extraction tools

· Experience with Cadence, Mentor, Synopsis or other layout tools a plus

· Standard cell place and route experience a plus

· BSEE2+ years experience
