Supervisor, Financial Systems #3282

 

PSE’s General Accounting Department is looking for a Supervisor, Financial Systems to join their team. This position directs and oversees day-to-day operations of the IT Business Analyst and will work directly with IT and user department personnel to coordinate financial system projects.  The Supervisor, Financial Systems oversees and provides accounting and budget systems support, including significant involvement in the monthly closing process and management reporting for all areas of the company. This role also oversees and participates in daily and monthly system processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. The Supervisor ensures SOX procedures and controls are being complied with and working according to documentation.

 

This role will direct the analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new financial information systems, as well as drive and participate in new SAP Business Intelligence reporting initiatives.  We are looking for someone who can perform GL maintenance and system administrative functions in addition to supporting audits and overseeing compliance activities associated with regulatory, GAAP, and SEC requirements.  The ideal candidate will be able to provide guidance, leadership and performance appraisals to staff while ensuring customer satisfaction and continual improvement of processes.

 

This position is located in Bellevue, WA and is nestled between two beautiful mountain ranges.  The weather is some of the mildest in the nation, with the temperature rarely going above 80 degrees and snowing less than Texas! And despite being known as the rainiest place in the country, both Miami and New York have us beat for annual rainfall totals.  If outdoor activities are your thing, you will never run out of things to do here!  There are many lakes, trails, campgrounds and hunting areas.  And if you are more into indoor activities, there are plenty of those too!  There are many area malls for shopping, as well as a Neiman Marcus going in just down the street.This area is also known as one of the fittest cities so there are a multitude of gyms, yoga centers and many other fitness related facilities in the area.

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Computer Science or equivalent experience

Strong leadership, mentorship, and coaching skills

Strong verbal and written skills

8+ years of relevant experience

Strong data extract/management skills

Strong PC skills (including Excel, Word, Access)

 

Desired: Previous Supervisory Experience

Experience with SAP, Cognos, Accounting, Quantitative Analysis, Statistics
