Position Description:Chevron Corporation is one of the world’s leading energy companies. Chevron Global Gas - Global Power is accepting online applications for the position of Casper Wind Farm Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager located in Casper, Wyoming through September 22, 2008.This position will supervise the day to day operations of the Casper Wind farm which consists of 13 wind turbines, spread over 1800 acres near Casper, Wyoming. The wind farm will generate 20 MW. The Wind Farm O&M Manager will also oversee contract maintenance personnel during wind turbine generator outages.Qualifications:- Develop a plan to implement and ensure Chevron Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) requirements are fully implemented at Casper Wind Farm. This includes setting a positive Operational Excellence and Safety environment at the facility and close coordination with the site management contractor.- Manage the Operations and Maintenance for the facility. This includes overseeing wind turbine technicians during assembly, testing, commissioning, repair and maintenance of the wind turbine generators at the Casper, Wyoming project site.- Direct and oversee predictive and preventive maintenance on wind turbine generators and auxiliary systems to achieve world class Reliability and Availability. - Develop and maintain Casper Wind Farm business operating plan. Be accountable for Profit and Loss results of the facility. Be accountable for availability and reliability results of the facility. - Represent Chevron Global Power with all third parties with respect to Casper Wind Farm operations. This includes local utility, regional transmission system operator, etc.- Help to develop Chevron Global Power’s organizational capability for wind power. This will entail serving in an advisory capacity on future wind farm developments, helping to hire and train qualified technicians, etc.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required in engineering or science discipline Wind power generation experience requiredPreferred Qualifications:MBA preferredPlant construction and commissioning experience preferredRelocation Options: Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.International Considerations:Expatriate assignments will not be considered.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:Casper, WY 82601 Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Engineering
