Chevron Upstream Capability/Drilling & Completions is accepting applications for a Wellview Base Business Technologist, located in Houston, Texas. Overview:The role of the WellView Base Business Technologist will be the Training Coordinator for the Base Business aspects of the WellView application. The Training Coordinator role is that of a “Training Solution Provider� and will work with WellView Team members, Energy Technology Company (ETC) Tech Computing Members, and ad-hoc resources to project to collaboratively develop a comprehensive, on-line, interactive help system for the Peloton WellView software application, and training modules related to base business workflows and work processes for use in the Upstream Strategic Business Units (SBU’s). The Training Coordinator will work with the SBU WellView Champions to align the training expectations with business work processes to facility an efficient and effective transition to use of the application. Effective Change Management practices will be important for the success of the training and help functions of the project.This position will require some domestic and international travel. Qualifications:Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:• Work with the other team members & gain alignment with SBU’s on work processes associated with the integration of the WellView application in to SBU base operations.• Work collaborative with the broader WellView Project Team to develop a comprehensive training system, including training slides and classroom problems, for the Chevron WellView application targeting the following audiences.• Support daily operational data management of WellView system. The WellView Technologist will provide guidance and assistance regarding the content of this training module.• Access data collected and managed by the WellView application. These roles would typically include engineers geologists, and technologists associated with wellwork or responsible for managing the wells.• Coordinate with the D&C developed training and provide guidance and assistance regarding the content of the training module. • Work with the WellView Base Business Team and SBU implementation team to develop and project manage personnel training schedule for using WellView software.• Work collaboratively with the overall WellView Project Team to develop a comprehensive, electronic User Help document for the Chevron WellView data management system. • Coordinate the resource schedule of selected SBU Trainers and Data Management Trainers (including self) during deployment and implementation.• Provide ongoing training associated with data quality and quality assurance, coding conventions, output, ad-hoc reporting, data management for performance improvement mission, etc.• Develop skills as a “Power User� of WellView and other Peloton software adopted by Chevron. • Provide mentoring and documentation to share best practices and lessons learned regarding the use of Peloton software. • Provide Level 2 Support for all Peloton products adopted by Chevron.• Act as an ad hoc resource for data migration issues and for the development of a data exchange tool with LOWIS. • Capture, institutionalize and share lessons learned and best practices. • Travel to both domestic and international locations.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree preferred. • Ability to identify and understand business work processes and work flows and articulate that understanding in to a message that others can understand (prepare and deliver training).• Knowledge and experience with Change Management solutions related to upstream production operations.• Project management skills.• Ability to work collaboratively while delivering results in a multi-functional work team organization.Relocation Options:Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.International Considerations:Expatriate assignments will be considered.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:Houston, TX 77002 Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Engineering
