Hughes Christensen has an immediate opening for an experienced Engineer in the Tricone Product Engineering Group in The Woodlands, TX. Responsibilities: - Create bit layouts and documentation according to design change requests from marketing and teams. - Provide error free product drawings and associated documentation for manufacturing. - Provide support to vendors and internal customers for bit components and features. - Provide recommendations for product changes and features based on available application knowledge through DART process. - Conduct Performance analyses on supported products and look for areas of improvement. Skill Requirements: - Good Team / Project leadership skills - Effective problem solving skills required. - Design, drafting and manufacturing experience a plus. - 3D modeling skills required. (Unigraphics a plus). - Knowledge of bit design and oilfield drilling process a plus. - Able to develop working relationships with field engineering and customers - Good oral and written communication skills required. - Must be motivated and able to work in a results-focused, team-oriented work environment.
