Repair and maintenance projects typically require a work crew of three to eight people, depending on the number of transformers and the length of the scheduled outage. During planned outages, crews deliver a broad base of maintenance services that include initial testing, complete disassembly, replacement of all gaskets, rebuilding of valves, replacement of existing fans, and re-wiring updates.

Qualifications for the position are:Two years experience in the assembly, vacuum processing, oil filling, repair and maintenance of power class transformers.Must have a current driver's license and clean driving record.  Class A CDL a plus.Must be willing to travel throughout the United States.Must be mechanically inclinedMust be proficient as maintenance and repair of transformers includes gasket cutting, pump replacement, radiator and bushing replacement.Ability to operate an oil processor is a plus.
