Technical Supervisor

Position responsibile for supervision of pipeline technical maintenance activities through direction of mechanical, and electrical/electronics technicians. Provides technical troubleshooting skills to resolve technical problems within the Central Texas district. Provides engineering support to the district through preparation of cost estimates and project management. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations, company policy and company required maintenance inspections. Manage technical maintenance expense budget to complete required repairs/upgrades at a minimum cost and in accordance with annual schedule. Support and assist with all HES training activities, updates and compliance with HES policies and procedures. Provide recommendations for system operational improvements through submission of capital and expense projects as part of the annual budgeting process. Provide supervisory relief in various areas.

Job Requirements:


Bachelor or Associate degree in a technical discipline. Minimum of five years relevant work experience. Must posses in-depth knowledge of the electrical/electronics and mechanical components required for liquid pipeline operations. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Must be familiar with and able to implement Company safety policies and procedures. Must have excellent PC skills and be proficient with applicable software applications. Knowledge of PLC's and PLC programming, electrical systems, pumps, engines, motors, valves, and familiarity with DOT - OPS regulations including Operator Qualification program. Pipeline maintenance practices - including construction management, cost estimating and project tracking.
