TELECOMMUNICATIONS LEASED SERVICES SPECIALIST

Responsible for leased and purchased telecommunications services at both Denver based HQ and field facilities.

 

Six (6) years of combined education and experience in the telecommunications and networking field.  This would consist of:

 

a.  The equivalent of technical training in an Associate Degree program in Electronics Engineering Technology or Telecommunications with advanced studies in data communications and telephone systems including PABX system administration.

 

 

b.  Four (4) years of practical experience and/or be able to demonstrate knowledge in maintenance of electronic and digital data communications,  digital systems and networking equipment which must include:

 

  Three (2) years of practical experience and/or the equivalent knowledge in the administration and/or maintenance of medium to large PABXs.

 

  Two (2) years of experience within the field of telecommunications, consisting of experience with LAN/WAN hardware and software, cabling and wiring systems, and fiber optics.

 

Ability to evaluate alternatives and make decisions about the cost effectiveness of purchases for services and equipment and to effectively negotiate with vendors is preferred.

 

Must be familiar with IP network configuration and IP network management. 

 

Must be competent with PC programs, applications, and hardware.
