Supplier Diversity Specialist, Management, 2 years experience, to $92K plus bonus, great benefits and opportunity for advancement! We are one of the nation's largest producers of energy and an industry leader in supply chain management practices for utilities. Responsibilities are as follows: Job Description:· Advise management, clients, peers, related departments, vendors, and suppliers· Responsible for providing information, data and advice to corporate Supplier Diversity Program strategic business units.· Assure potential vendors meet preliminary qualifications as Small, Minority, Women-owned and other diverse businesses.· Increase understanding of our business requirements.· Identify procurement opportunities.· Develop and implement internal training programs as well as outreach programs and exemplify minority advocacy.· Gather data required by minority advocacy organization and governmental agencies.· Manage, compile and report the results of company’s second tier subcontracting program. · Some overnight travel and occasional evening events included. Job Requirements:· Minimum of two years of both supply chain management experience and supplier diversity development· Microsoft Office Suite software· Experience with SAP desirable· Considerable knowledge of purchasing principles, policies, procedures and standard practices; advanced knowledge of client groups; working knowledge of Federal subcontracting requirements. Skills:· Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong presentation skills· Develop rapport with multiple community organizations and demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and · Effectively work as a team and interact with individuals at all levels including senior management.· Ability to successfully address difficult and adverse situations. Education:· Bachelors: Liberal Arts or Business preferred· Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
