It all starts here, with you.This role directs the activities for Meter Reading in multi-shop region and shares call-out responsibilities for Operations in the Akron area. Directs the activities associated with meter reading and data collection, through manual or electronic automated systems to ensure that accurate meter readings are obtained to provide customers with billing-ready data; collects and analyzes trouble reports; responsible for the safety of meter reading personnel and implementing safety initiatives. Fully accountable for work and personnel management in the region including all budgets, planning, safety, training, human resources and labor relations administration. Manage daily testing/monitoring of gas detection devices and interior leak surveys. Works with Field Service department to target Automated Meter Reading (AMR) installations. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.QualificationsKnowledge:-Knowledge of Electronic Metering Reading technology and processes in business line; metering equipment operation, maintenance and repair.-Knowledge of company metering related programs and polices.-Job specific knowledge of labor contract.-Working knowledge of computer applicationsSkills:-Effective communication and interpersonal skills-Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills-Team building skills in a customer service environmentAbilities:-Ability to motivate employees-Ability to take in information quickly and accurately-Ability to handle constantly changing and emerging priorities
