Supervisor-Gas Delivery Operations

It all starts here, with you.Provide supervision of staff in the design of distribution gas delivery projects. Manage replacement and relocation project design through staff including plan review, communication, design, budget estimation and project accounting. Manage project schedules and resources, handle daily customer contact, and monitor progress to ensure work is completed in an efficient, safe, and cost effective manner. Review and approve design/engineering estimates to ensure engineering accuracy, clarity, safety, reliability and the correct issue of materials needed. Responsible for budgetary input and planning. Advise and participate in employee technical training and development. May be required to provide in-depth knowledge and direction in interpreting policies, procedures, and agreements May direct difficult or complex customer negotiations and/or participate in negotiations regarding agreements, contracts and terms and conditions. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.QualificationsThe knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following: 5-10 years related experience. Design experience preferred.Full knowledge of Gas Delivery systems; engineering; design methods; construction work methods; operations guidelines; direct supervision of hourly employees; cost analysis; customer service; essential computer skills.Skills: leadership; judgment, bargaining unit contract interpretation; interpersonal; strong verbal and written communication; project and time management; organizing.Abilities: teaming; motivate employees; decision making; handle constantly changing and emerging priorities; schedule and prioritize work; physical attributes required to perform essential function of the job - walking, climbing, stooping, bending and prolonged standing.
Preferred: Bachelors in Business or Engineering or Engineering Technology
