Subsea Project Engineer

We currently seek a high caliber Subsea Project Engineer to work on a long term contract basis. Based in Sugar Land, you will be working for one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement & construction companies to the Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals sector.

Job Description

• Perform basic project engineering functions involving monitoring of progress, preparation of procedures, documentation of communications and meetings, and identification/evaluation of project issues and problems
• Assure compliance with established safety policies and procedures and practice safe work habits
• Assist in management and coordination of activities among all project functions and engineering disciplines
• Coordinate efforts of technical disciplines to assure integrated and complete designs that meet project requirements
• Coordinate design efforts with vendors and licensors to assure proper and complete integration
• Review project staffing requirements and coordinate staffing with supporting functional organization managers and/or subcontractors
• Prepare and/or coordinate preparation of status and progress reports for project management, and for the client and Fluor’s senior management
• Provide interface and communications link with the client’s technical staff

Job Requirements:

• Advanced technical degree from a recognized/accredited university
• Minimum of 10 yrs experience in the industry on offshore/subsea projects involving subsea facilities design and analysis
• Experience is a must in subsea field layout and field architecture layout working with subsea wellheads, manifolds and connection systems
• Must have an intimate knowledge and experience in subsea controls systems including control umbilicals and connections design and specification
• Must be capable of design and layout of subsea manifolds, pipeline end manifolds (PLEMs) and pipeline end terminals (PLETs) and can work with and interface with structural design and foundation engineers in this design effort
• Beneficial if candidate has field experience in the fabrication and installation of subsea components
