Sr Startup Supervisor

The function of this position will be as a Project Commissioning Manager in the Projects & Field Services Division.
Description:
The Commissioning Manager is responsible for the effective planning, organization, direction, coordination and supervision of all checkout and startup activities for a project in a safe, efficient, and economical manner.  Responsibilities include effective communications with both internal and external organizations to accomplish Project objectives.  The Commissioning Manager is specifically responsible to:
Prepare turnover packages to be submitted to Construction and Startup Personnel.
Development of commissioning procedures.
Develop and maintain a Startup Schedule and Budget.
Maintain the Projects punchlist.
Supervising the administration of the Project’s clearance and permitting system.
Supervise all the checkout, startup and testing of Project’s systems.
Coordinate and support vendor commissioning. Â
Responsible for the turnover of the systems to the Plant.
The Commissioning Manager would be assigned to Projects and be on site for approximately 6 – 18 months.  The project will be located at present AEP Plants or future Plants.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. Â
Strong leadership, communication, organizational and management skill sets.  Â
Combustion turbine Site Startup and/or Field Engineering experience desired and will dictate the entry level.  PE is desired.
Travel requirement: This is a field deployed position.
