Sr. Mining Engineer

An underground coal mine near the town of Paonia, Colorado is seeking a Sr. Mining Engineer to provide engineering assistance to the underground and surface Operation Departments on ventilation and roof control.  Assist the safety department in the drafting of MSHA plans. Assist in the budget process.  Provide short and long term mine planning. AFE preparation and execution.  Implement and supervise various mine projects.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

 

B.S. Degree in Engineering- mining preferred.

Professional Engineering Registration or in process.

Experience using Autocad and Survcadd software and other support software including Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

Supervisory experience.

Familiar with all aspects of the mining process.

Ten (10) Years mining experience with a minimum of five (5) years in actual production environment.

Ability to establish rapport and mutual respect with a diverse group of people.

Strong written and oral communication skills.
