Sr. Industrial Engineer
Here’s what you need to know about this opportunity: 1. This is a direct opportunity with competitive salary and excellent company benefits to include profit sharing!2. This is a private, international company with business relationships in the commercial, industrial and energy industries.3. Southeast side of Houston is the location of this opportunity.4. Must be available for both domestic and international travel.5. Ability to work in field construction locations – climb ladders, etc.6. Combination of office and field work! Responsibilities include but are not limited to (other responsibilities will be discussed):Model, analyze, and design all facets of new systems involving process refrigeration, waste heat recovery, HVAC and Heating systems and the improvements to existing systems using first principles, equipment selection tools, process simulators, and other tools for various equipment including heat transfer devices, rotating equipment, control and electrical devices, etc. Ensure the technical integrity of multiple projects, including compliance with project scope, job specification, engineering design, and meeting client's requirements. Must have expertise with project schedules, budgets, and project procedures and have experience with compressor package design for gas compression, refrigeration, and process modules. The qualifications for the Industrial Engineer are:· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field from an accredited four-year engineering program required, Master’s degree highly desirable. · Proficiency with WinSim, HYSYS, or similar process simulation software. · PE/EIT registration is a plus. · Minimum of 10 years experience in engineering and design of packaged equipment or process equipment in the oil/gas industry and /or process related industries. · A minimum of 3 years as a lead engineer or project engineer/manager. · Industrial refrigeration/process or gas compression experience required. · Power industry experience with gas turbines is a plus. · Experience in design and specification of refrigeration systems highly desirable · Strong working knowledge of process design and simulation, equipment sizing and selection. · P&ID development · PLC based system design and programming a plus. · Demonstrated proficiency in technical writing and comprehensive documentation. · Proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Microsoft suite programs. · Proficiency in AutoCad through version 2004. · Estimating experience is highly desirable. · Experience with analysis of compliance with ASME, API, TEMA, NFPA, NEC and other relevant codes. · Extensive experience in programming, particularly in Visual Basic, is required.
