UTC Power is a proven, single-source provider of clean power solutions. As one of the newest members of the United Technologies Corp. family, UTC Power is able to draw on the expertise of some of the more established divisions, including the industry leaders in fuel cell technology and building heating, cooling and control systems.

Mechanical Design Engineer---responsible for the conception of mechanical solutions in the packaging of fuel cell powerplants. This will include working with piping (and applicable codes), electrical hardware and software, structural framework, enclosures, mechanical components etc.
It requires the ability to conceive of unique packaging concepts, selection of components (pumps, valves, instrumentation etc), as well as some analysis (structural, pressure drop, heat transfer etc).
The creation of drawings and working with shop personnel is also needed. A hands on skill set is required, for use in our lab, for building and testing rigs.

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Preferred --Masters Degree

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Design engineering.
Proficiency in the use of Pro Engineer----use of other conquerable software such as Unigraphics would be considered.
