Sr. Credit Analyst-Grade 12

The Sr. Credit Analyst supports the credit function for all business units, provides credit analysis, approval and recommendations in order to establish credit lines for new and existing counterparties as well as commercial and industrial customers.  RESPONSIBILITIES:* Evaluates commercial transactions and investigates counterparty credit risk, financial stability and credit worthiness. * Analyzes complex financial statements, bank and trade references, rating agency reports, internal data, industry and market information for commercial, industrial, large energy and financial counterparties.* Prepares formal credit write-ups for presentation to senior management.* Approves credit requests within prescribed authority and recommends appropriate credit limits.* Manages assigned portfolio for changes in credit quality and resolves administrative issues.* Interfaces with customers and negotiates credit enhancements and credit provisions in physical and financial contracts.* Works closely with the legal, commercial, contracts and treasury groups of the organization.* Processes requests for corporate guarantees, monitors credit exposure, credit lines and compliance to the Corporate Credit Policy.

REQUIREMENTS:* Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance or a closely related field. * At least three years of commercial (asset-based lending) or industrial credit experience.* Experience working with credit software.* Excellent oral and written communication skills.* Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.* Experience in a credit area of the energy or banking industry preferred.
