Entergy Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, is the second largest nuclear generation company in the United States. Entergy is planning to spin off its non-utility wholesale nuclear business into a new independent publicly traded company, Enexus. In connection with that transaction, Enexus and Entergy intend to enter into a nuclear services joint venture, EquaGen. At this time, we are seeking applicants for prospective employment with EquaGen and Enexus.
Staffing decisions will be made in a manner anticipated to result in the future success of Enexus, while maintaining continued success of the Entergy System.
Job offers for Enexus positions will be contingent on several factors, including the formation of Equagen and the consummation of the spin transaction, which is anticipated to occur in the latter part of 2008.
External candidates who accept offers will become employed by the Entergy System pending the spin transaction and internal candidates will remain with their Entergy System employer pending the spin transaction.

We currently have an exciting opportunity available at Enexus for a Sr. Anaylst, Risk Control located in Stamford, CT.
Position Description:
Sr. Analyst will work in the Pricing & Structuring, Fundamental Analysis, Risk Control and Valuation groups in individual contributor or team/process lead roles. Assignments will include validating market prices, creating commodity POVs, performing market research, maintaining business intelligence, analyzing the performance of transactions, building and vetting DCF valuation models and identifying risks and opportunities available to the company.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, related or technical field.
- 3 plus years of professional experience working in fundamental analysis, valuation or risk control roles.
- Excellent quantitative, creative, and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong background in statistical analysis and forecasting techniques
- Understanding of economics, ideally application of principles of economics to commodity markets
- Understanding of valuation theory (DCF modeling, CAPM, discount rates)
Desired requirements:
- Additional preferred qualifications, experience and/or skills (e.g., additional education, desired skill set, competencies, etc.)
- MBA (or similar Masters) or PhD in associated field.
- Ability to building and operating fundamental market simulation models for electricity, natural gas, coal, and emission.
- Proficiency in the use of market simulation tools such as PROMOD, PROSIM, GEMaps, ALTOS or similar applications, Microsoft Office applications including superior Excel and good PowerPoint skills
- Specific experience with Northeast power markets in NYISO and NEPOOL.
- Familiarity with nuclear plant operations and uranium markets
- Understanding the electric power industry
- Understanding of the key drivers to electricity prices
- Understanding the interactions of electricity prices with other energy commodities
- Understanding of regulatory environment facing the power industry
