Business Services provides Exelon and its subsidiaries with financial, human resource, legal, information technology, supply management and corporate governance services. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Performs activities related to analyzing IT and/or Business requirements, designing, building, testing, implementing and maintaining solutions, products and processes under the guidance of a Lead Analyst or Manager. Included are performing and/or managing support, maintenance, and enhancement activities related to Exelon's Internet and Intranet web sites, web applications and content management systems. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Perform, document and assist in planning work activities relating to projects, sub-projects, or processes. For Projects: Analyze requirements, then design, build, and test IT software solutions in accordance with IT project management standards. For operations/application maintenance: Enhance, maintain or support existing IT products and processes to the defined service level agreement. Maintain engagement with business and IT partners. Assist less experienced personnel. Proactively build business/IT knowledge to provide solutions. Utilize best practices to improve products and services. Apply and verify compliance to standards as defined within the Management Model. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (preferred) or related experience in web development and application architecture or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Appropriate technical skills in Microsoft Office Sharepoint Services and content management tools. Additionally, demonstrate comprehensive skills in web-based technologies (e.g. HTML, ASP, Javascript), Microsoft .NET/C# development, web servers (IIS and Apache), Oracle and SQL Server databases, and server OS (both Wintel and Unix). Knowledge of business practices and processes in IT support, client engagement, service delivery excellence. Strong problem solving skills. Excellent communications skills (written and verbal). Preferred: Bachelor's degree preferred. POSITION SCOPE As assigned, work effectively with outsourcing partners. Performs this service in support of the Exelon enterprise.
